Amateur Ambassador Alex Collman recently played a sunny Carnoustie, after competing in the Eden Trophy at St Andrews the week before. Alex is wearing an Amparo Blue “Finsbury” V-neck, Optic White “Vigo” Polo and Black “Titanium” Belt
If you have any photo’s wearing UKKO, send them to us and we’ll get them on the blog…
When we received this pic we thought it was a little random. A few guys on the course with Bill Roache from Corrie and Craig Phillips from Big Brother…
But, when we realised it was from Oli Willson, the Celebrity Manager at Sports & Celebrity Agency ChampionsUK, it all seemed to make a little more sense. We’re sure there were some tales to tell, even though it’s possibly the most bizarre 4-ball posted on our blog to date!
Either way, we like the fact he was already out-smarting his opponents by wearing a Blueberry “Crispin” Polo.
Ericsson were one of the key sponsors at the 2011 Ray Wilkins Charity Golf Day at Foxhills GC supporting the Starlight Children’s Charity. Joining UKKO Amateur Ambassador Malcolm Glen in UKKO were ex-fottballers Steve Coppell and Neil Cox.
Malcolm’s team of Steve Coppell, Steve Haines and Mick Wayman came 3rd overall (out of 33) and were definitely the best dressed!!
As you can see from the pictures below, the teams were wearing our Palace Blue “Avery” and Wine Red “Crispin” polo’s.
The 2011 Breakthrough Cup can only be described as a huge success.
First and foremost the charity was well supported and a lot of money was raised.
Secondly everyone had a great time… The Belfry Brabazon provided a great test of golf to all involved and the Champagne Reception / Dinner / Prize Giving were great fun.
Thirdly and most importantly for this blog was that we had some of our football idols in UKKO gear. Amazing for the brand.
Amongst those adorning our Pink Break “Vigo” Polo were;
- Robbie Fowler
- John Barnes
- Teddy Sheringham
- Lee Dixon
- Steve Harkness
- Jay Bothroyd
- Maik Taylor
- Simon Grayson
- Michael Duff
+ many other Premiership stars past & present.
It was also nice of Chris Evans to chopper in for a quick round too.. and take the mick out of our attempts to find the green on the 10th.
All in all a great day, thanks to everyone who helped to organise it.
UKKO Ambassador & Champions UK Celebrity Manager Oli Wilson recently sent in a picture with snooker legend Willie Thorne during the Age Concern Golf Day at Kilworth Springs GC. Oli is wearing our Blueberry “Strype” Polo.
If you have any pictures on the course or with a celeb in your UKKO gear please send us a copy to contact@ukko.com.
UKKO Ambassador Laurence Knott has returned victorious from a recent jolly round Ireland with a few of his mates from Muswell Hill GC…
“Just back from an annual trip to Ireland. 8 of us from muswell hill playing Royal County Down and Royal Portrush. A gross 80 at County Down helped me take the trophy by a solitary stableford point over the three days of golf and Darren Clarke was at hand to present “The Fankle” as this grainy photo attests!”
Nice work Laurence and glad to hear the UKKO gear is helping you weild those sticks in a winning manner…
We’d like to welcome Iain Walker, the latest member to the UKKO Ambassadors Programme.
Iain, 20, plays at Baildon GC, Bradford, and has a handicap of 2.7
In his bag: Nike driver 3, wood and irons, titleist wedges + putter
Here’s a picture of Iain in action wearing his UKKO Optic Crispin Polo and Titanium Black belt
Ambassador Laurence Knott led a crack fourball team to victory in the third Swing for Sammy charity golf day at Muswell Hill Golf Club, North London on 30th July 2010.
Swing for Sammy celebrates the life and honours the courage of Samantha Trow (nee St John), who died on 18 February 2008, aged 26. In the first two years the event has raised over £33,000 for Cancer Research.
Kitted out in Ukko’s Puree Red Vigo Polos the team drew admiring glances from the field of 140 competitors. Inspired by their team colours, Team Elk racked up 10 birdies to post an early clubhouse score of 96 points that was not to be bettered.
Accepting first prize team captain Laurence, Director of Urban Elk Consultants said:
Swing for Sammy is a fantastic charity golf day, raising thousands of pounds for a great cause. We dressed for success, bonding in our Ukko gear to tear up the course in fine fashion. Were already looking forward to defending our title next year. Thanks to Nick and all at Ukko for sponsoring our team and helping to keep us cool n fresh on the course. Expect to see plenty more Ukko kitted out members at Muswell Hill soon
The winning team were Muswell Hill members (l-r)
