EXCLUSIVE: NEW AMBASSADOR LOGO
For the past six months we have been working hard with a London Brand Agency to create an exclusive logo, which will only be available to our Ambassadors. We are pleased to announce it will be launched at Golf Live, so it would be great if you can come along to see it.
More details to be announced soon…
UKKO London Ambassador Richard Woods recently sent us a few photo’s of his charity golf marathon. The day was to raise money for the two clubs captains charities and a small bit for him to use towards competitions etc!
Rich recently turned Pro in August, and on 11th September completed a four round golf marathon in only 24 hours. He did 36 holes at Bigbury Golf Club (where he was a member for 20 years) and 36 holes at Dainton Park Golf Club where he is now attached and doing his PGA Degree. See some pictures of his day below. Good work!
It is with great pleasure that UKKO announce the achievement of ambassador Alex Collman. This past sunday [10th June] Alex, from West Hertfordshire took the title after beating Moor Park’s Matt Wallace 4&2 in the final at his home club. Alex finished one under for the 15 holes, was never headed in the final, which was watched by a crowd of around 100.
Collman won holes three, six, and eight to be three up at the turn. Wallace won 11 to reduce the arrears, but Collman then took 12 and 15 to win the match.
Alex is the first West Hertfordshire county champion since David Griffiths in 1999.
Congratulations to Alex from UKKO.
Amateur Ambassador Alex Collman recently played a sunny Carnoustie, after competing in the Eden Trophy at St Andrews the week before. Alex is wearing an Amparo Blue “Finsbury” V-neck, Optic White “Vigo” Polo and Black “Titanium” Belt
If you have any photo’s wearing UKKO, send them to us and we’ll get them on the blog…
When we received this pic we thought it was a little random. A few guys on the course with Bill Roache from Corrie and Craig Phillips from Big Brother…
But, when we realised it was from Oli Willson, the Celebrity Manager at Sports & Celebrity Agency ChampionsUK, it all seemed to make a little more sense. We’re sure there were some tales to tell, even though it’s possibly the most bizarre 4-ball posted on our blog to date!
Either way, we like the fact he was already out-smarting his opponents by wearing a Blueberry “Crispin” Polo.
Ericsson were one of the key sponsors at the 2011 Ray Wilkins Charity Golf Day at Foxhills GC supporting the Starlight Children’s Charity. Joining UKKO Amateur Ambassador Malcolm Glen in UKKO were ex-fottballers Steve Coppell and Neil Cox.
Malcolm’s team of Steve Coppell, Steve Haines and Mick Wayman came 3rd overall (out of 33) and were definitely the best dressed!!
The 2011 Breakthrough Cup can only be described as a huge success.
First and foremost the charity was well supported and a lot of money was raised.
Secondly everyone had a great time… The Belfry Brabazon provided a great test of golf to all involved and the Champagne Reception / Dinner / Prize Giving were great fun.
Thirdly and most importantly for this blog was that we had some of our football idols in UKKO gear. Amazing for the brand.
Amongst those adorning our Pink Break “Vigo” Polo were;
- Robbie Fowler
- John Barnes
- Teddy Sheringham
- Lee Dixon
- Steve Harkness
- Jay Bothroyd
- Maik Taylor
- Simon Grayson
- Michael Duff
+ many other Premiership stars past & present.
It was also nice of Chris Evans to chopper in for a quick round too.. and take the mick out of our attempts to find the green on the 10th.
All in all a great day, thanks to everyone who helped to organise it.
UKKO Ambassador & Champions UK Celebrity Manager Oli Wilson recently sent in a picture with snooker legend Willie Thorne during the Age Concern Golf Day at Kilworth Springs GC. Oli is wearing our Blueberry “Strype” Polo.
If you have any pictures on the course or with a celeb in your UKKO gear please send us a copy to email@example.com.
