UKKO London Tour Pro Jason Kelly has sent us an update on his most recent Alps Tour. Have a look through the gallery and read what he has to say below!
“I have just arrived back from Paris where I had an interesting week. My car broke down 15 minutes from the venue, Golf D’ Rebetz. This meant I did not have a car for the week and spent hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. They eventually did the work after I went to the garage yesterday after the final round and launched a sit down protest!
Golf wise I was pretty happy despite all the off-course stress and distraction. I did not play particularly well but worked hard and grinded out the scores. I shot -1 from the bad side of the draw on day 1, -3 on day 2 that could have easily been 2 or 3 over and a disappointing even par on the last day. -4 was good for 23rd.
I made €525 and my car cost €520!
I have a week off now before a long stretch. The game is pretty close.”
Great work Jason! Keep it up!

Sandwell Park Golf Club is a traditional members golf club. The course was designed by the famous designer H S Colt, who has designed over 300 courses around the world. The location of the course with its sandy subsoil ground and springy turf, undulating tree lined fairways that do not cross, no long walks from greens to tees, natural hazards and the strategic placing of some of the bunkers, all make Sandwell Park today a challenging place for golfers of all abilities. It is now in the enviable position as being one of the leading clubs in the West Midlands. The shop was recently refurbished to provide a welcoming environment to all members and visitors. Daniel and his team are more than happy to offer specialist advice on equipment, tuition, club repairs, club or open competitions and booking society/corporate golf days or visitor greenfees. UKKO Tour Pro Matthew Cryer gives us an update of his recent form on the Challenge Tour. After shooting a -10 in La Gomera off the coast of Tenerife Matt heads to Austria for his next tournament with a onwards and upwards attitude!
“After the first three challenge tour events in India, Colombia and Kenya, the tour returned to Europe for 5 months straight. The first of these events was in Pleneuf, France. I was looking to consolidate a solid start in the early season.
Making the cut on +3 by a shot with rounds of 73 and 70, I struggled in rd 3 and ended up shooting 80. After some solid work on the range on Saturday afternoon I bounced back on Sunday with 68 which was joint best rd of the day in some tough conditions, finishing up 37th.
After a week off challenge tour we moved to Belgium, a new course this year just outside Brussels. A beautiful tree lined course called Ravenstein. A first rd of 70, -1, put me in reasonable position. However, after going out in +4 in rd 2, I had my work cut out to make the cut and despite making birdie on 14 and giving myself great chances on the final 4 holes I couldn’t convert the putts and ended up missing the cut by 1 shot.
After a reflective weekend off I then travelled to La Gomera, just off Tenerife. This event saw my best finish last season so had some good memories. Shooting 69 & 66 leaving me -6 and making the cut by 4 put me in a nice position going into the weekend. 70 & 69 at the weekend left me on -10 in 26th position.
Next stop Austria, onwards and upwards!!!!”
