Wentworth based professional Jason Kelly won the inaugural Pro-Am Tour in Dubai which featured play on four of Dubai’s finest courses, including the prestigious European Tour venues at Emirates Golf Club – Majlis Course, and The Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Kelly who is playing in Europe on the Alps Tour this summer was thrilled to record his second win on The Pro-Am Tour, stating “I will take a lot of confidence from this win, especially as we played such great golf courses, which annually test the world’s best players”. He added: “Dubai is a fantastic destination for a Pro-Am Tour event, which was once again very well organized and attracted a great group of competitors”.

Garry Parker narrowly beat his fellow Knebworth professional James Pratt into second place in the professional individual event, while Simon Boyd led his Sotogrande based team of Simon Ingram, Oliver Ingram & Toby Ingram to victory in the Pro-Am team event.

Simon Boyd was also successful in a popular night golf event which was staged under the floodlights of the Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club. After nine holes competitors enjoyed a mid round barbecue with the dramatic illuminated skyscrapers of Dubai Marina as a backdrop.

The Pro-Am Tour in Dubai is just one of a series of Pro-Am Tour events, which include, The Sawgrass Classic, The Pro-Am Tour at Pebble Beach, The California Classic, The Arizona Classic, The Scottsdale Classic, and The Las Vegas Classic Pro-Am, along with tailor-made golf packages including admission to The US Masters at Augusta and The Ryder Cup.
