Ambassador Laurence Knott led a crack fourball team to victory in the third Swing for Sammy charity golf day at Muswell Hill Golf Club, North London on 30th July 2010.

Swing for Sammy celebrates the life and honours the courage of Samantha Trow (nee St John), who died on 18 February 2008, aged 26. In the first two years the event has raised over £33,000 for Cancer Research.

Kitted out in Ukko’s Puree Red Vigo Polos the team drew admiring glances from the field of 140 competitors. Inspired by their team colours, Team Elk racked up 10 birdies to post an early clubhouse score of 96 points that was not to be bettered.

Accepting first prize team captain Laurence, Director of Urban Elk Consultants said:

“Swing for Sammy is a fantastic charity golf day, raising thousands of pounds for a great cause. We dressed for success, bonding in our Ukko gear to tear up the course in fine fashion. We’re already looking forward to defending our title next year. Thanks to Nick and all at Ukko for sponsoring our team and helping to keep us cool n fresh on the course. Expect to see plenty more Ukko kitted out members at Muswell Hill soon…”

The winning team were Muswell Hill members (l-r)

Matthew Davies (14 handicap), Steve Serris (8), captain Laurence Knott (9) and Jem Butcher (10)
